Therapy Dogs includes a group of volunteers with dogs that have passed testing that allows them to meet with people. They visit local hospitals, nursing homes, and schools in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area with their pets to bring smiles to the faces of patients or students young and old alike. Many of the patients pet the dogs and reminisce about animals in their lives. Therapy Dog volunteering, although time consuming, is a very rewarding activity.
