Dog training

We are eager to help all owners learn to care for, train and enjoy their dogs. We have literature relating to responsible dog ownership, how to pick a puppy, how to contact breeders, spay/neuter information and more. We have members with expertise in a wide range of dog care and activities. Literature is offered at our Public Education table at our Show and Matches or by phone. Please call us. We're here to help! For more information on Public Education call (805) 685-4642.
  • AKC Canine Good Citizen
  •  Started in 1989, the CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
  • Classes and Certifications are offered at various times during the year, and are open to all dogs (purebred or not).
